Terms of Service

Short version: Petik is a tool, you're responsible for what you do with it, and we make no promises it will keep working.

1. What Petik is

Petik is a utility that fetches publicly accessible media from third-party platforms (currently TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube) and hands it to you as a file. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of those platforms.

2. Your responsibilities

By using Petik you agree that you will:

  • only save content you own, have permission to save, or are otherwise legally allowed to use;
  • respect the copyright, trademark and privacy rights of creators and of the people who appear in their content;
  • comply with the terms of service of the platform the content comes from;
  • not use Petik to harass, stalk, impersonate or otherwise harm anyone;
  • not automate, scrape or overload the service, or try to circumvent its limits.

You, not Petik, are responsible for how downloaded content is used.

3. No guarantees

The platforms Petik reads from change without notice, block requests, or remove content. Petik is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty that it will work for a given link, at a given quality, or at all. We may change, limit or stop the service at any time.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Petik and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or of any content obtained through it, including claims from third parties about that content.

5. Takedowns

Petik does not host content: files stream from the source platform to you and are not kept. If you believe Petik is being used to infringe your rights, contact the operator and describe the specific links involved.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use Petik after a change means you accept the new terms.
