Privacy Policy

Short version: no accounts, no tracking, no stored files. The link you paste is used to fetch your download and then forgotten.

1. What we process

When you use Petik, the server briefly handles:

  • the link or username you submit, to look up the media;
  • the media itself, which streams from the source platform through the server to your browser;
  • standard connection data your browser sends with every request (IP address, user agent).

2. What we keep

Nothing on purpose. Downloaded files are not stored; they pass through the server and are discarded as soon as your browser has received them. YouTube downloads are assembled in a temporary file that is deleted right after it is sent, or within 30 minutes if it is never collected. Links and usernames are not logged to a database.

The hosting server may keep ordinary web-server access logs (IP address, URL, time) for a short period for security and debugging. These are not shared or used for profiling.

3. Cookies and tracking

Petik sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. If the captcha is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own cookie to tell humans from bots. Your browser may store small preferences locally; that data never leaves your device.

4. Third parties

To fetch media, the server contacts the source platform (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube) on your behalf. Those platforms see the server's request, not your browser's, and their own privacy policies apply to the content they serve. Thumbnails shown in the interface load directly from the platform's CDN, so the CDN sees your browser's request for those images.

5. Children

Petik is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

6. Contact and changes
